Vajira has obtained membership of several professional organizations for accounting professionals such as the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) Australia, Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) – UK, and also a member of the National Tax and Accountants Association (NTAA) Australia and the Tax Institute (FTI) Australia. Vajira is also a registered tax agent in the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) Australia and a Registered Agent of the Australia Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Udara Peiris is a Chartered Accountant at Austral Accountants, where he oversees the Accounting and Tax division.
Udara has over ten years of experience in professional practice, specializing in business services and taxation. He has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including retail, healthcare, construction, property, and other commercial sectors. Udara became a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) in 2022 and is committed to building strong, long-term client relationships while supporting clients in meeting their business and taxation compliance and reporting obligations.
His expertise includes assisting clients to understand their tax obligations, providing strategic tax planning, and delivering tailored advice to suit both individual and business needs. Udara places a strong emphasis on establishing appropriate tax structures aligned with each client’s circumstances. He also possesses extensive knowledge of QBCC reporting requirements and has significant experience supporting clients within the building and construction industry.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Udara enjoys spending time with family and friends and has a keen interest in sport, particularly cricket.
